Andrian Liem earned his PhD in clinical and health psychology from the School of Psychology, the University of Queensland. He is currently a Research Fellow at Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Monash University Malaysia (MUM). He is doing his fellowship at MUM by collaborating with migrant domestic workers to improve their mental health and learning a new field of neurodegenerative diseases among elders. Andrian’s research interests include cultural psychology, gender and sexuality, health and social justice, and global mental health with a mixed-methods approach.

Liz Jones received her PhD from the University of Queensland in Brisbane Australia. She is currently Head of Department of Psychology at Monash University Malaysia. She is also a registered psychologist in Australia. Her research focuses on intergroup communication particularly in health and organisational contexts. She has worked on cultural differences in health communication and health stigma, as well as more generally on improving health service delivery to people from marginalised groups. She is a Fellow and Past President of the International Association of Language and Social Psychology and is on the Executive of the Asian Association of Social Psychology.

Rozel S. Balmores-Paulino is an Associate Professor of Psychology in the Department of Anthropology, Sociology and Psychology, College of Social Sciences, University of the Philippines Baguio. She has done research on women and work, adolescent risk behaviors and the psychology of Filipino humor. Using social psychology as a lens, she is currently doing research on safety perception, COVID-19, and stigma.

Dr. Myreen is a registered psychologist, guidance counselor, teacher, and psychometrician. She currently works at the University of Santo Tomas as a Senior Guidance Counselor. She is also appointed as point person of the Faculty of Pharmacy Counseling and Career Office. She obtained her Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Santo Tomas (UST), Manila. She completed her Master’s Degree in Psychology at UST and her Master’s Degree in Education (Major in Guidance and Counseling) at the Philippine Normal University (PNU), Manila. She acquired her bachelor’s degree in Psychology also from PNU, Cum Laude. Her research interest includes Dual Factor Model of Mental Health, Mindfulness, Resilience, and Expressive Therapies.

Maria Theresa B. Gallardo, an active Registered Guidance Counselor for 21 years. She has been a Guidance Counselor at the University of Santo Tomas for almost 15 years. She is also a Registered Psychometrician and Licensed Professional Teacher. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the Philippine Normal University (Cum Laude) and my Master of Arts in Guidance and Counseling at the University of Santo Tomas (Cum Laude). She earned her Doctor of Education degree in Counselor Education at Miriam College last February 2022 under the University of Santo Tomas’ Grants-In-Aid Scholarship.

Dr. Ting currently is an Associate Professor for Psychology Department at Monash University (Malaysia campus). She is also currently serving as editor and reviewer for several multidisciplinary journals on topics such as qualitative study among minority groups, indigenous people well-being, Chinese psychology, psychology of religion, disaster mental health, and female sexual health. She is also chaired the first Southeast Asia Indigenous Psychology Scientific meeting in 2021, and serves as the chief guest editor for the Special Issues on Indigenous Psychology in Southeast Asia (International Perspective in Psychology hosted by APA Div 52). Spearing indigenous psychology research network in Southeast Asia, developing culturally responsive mental health services, and mentoring next generation elites in indigenous psychology have been her current passions of life.

Maireen is an accomplished Guidance Counselor with a profound background in psychology. Graduating from Miriam College Foundation Inc., she holds a Master of Education in Early Childhood and Masters in Guidance and Counseling. In addition to her impressive qualifications, Maireen is also a Licensed Psychometrician (RPm) and a Licensed Guidance Counselor (RGC). She actively engages with prominent professional organizations, including the Psychological Association of the Philippines and the Philippine Guidance and Counseling Association.

Muhammad Tamar currently is a Senior Lecturer in Social and Industrial Psychology at the Psychology Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Hasanuddin, Indonesia. He completed his bachelor’s degree in political science and government at Universitas Hasanuddin. He earned his Master’s Degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and Doctorate Degree in Psychology at Universitas Indonesia (UI), Indonesia. Tamar’s research interests include leadership, entrepreneurship, psychological capital, cultural and indigenous psychology, and environmental psychology.


Boon-Ooi LEE, Ph.D. is Senior Lecturer at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. He is interested in culture and mental health, in particular, indigenous healing systems, multicultural therapy, cultural psychopathology, alteration of consciousness, health beliefs, somatization, and the phenomenology of the body. His current research investigates the relevance of indigenous healing systems to mental health and psychotherapy, and the relationship between alteration of consciousness (e.g., dissociation, trance) and mental health.

Syurawasti earned her Master of Arts in Social and Clinical Psychology from the Faculty of Psychology, Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Yogyakarta, Indonesia. She is currently a teaching staff at Psychology Department of Universitas Hasanuddin and associate researcher at Center for Indigenous and Cultural Psychology (CICP), UGM. Syurawasti is also a mental health advocate, counselor and independent writer who co-founded Halo Jiwa Indonesia. Syurawasti’s research interests include interpersonal and intergroup relation, social cognition, public mental health, sustainability (i.e. sustainable behavior) and positive psychology with a mixed-method approach.

Rizky earned her Master of Arts in Psychology at Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Indonesia. Currently, she is a teaching staff at the Psychology Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Hasanuddin, Indonesia. Rizky is not doing much research now, but she is interested in studies related to intergroup relations, moral psychology, psychology of diversity, and social justice.

Muthia is a lecturer at the Psychology Department of Universitas Hasanuddin and a licensed psychologist in Indonesia. She completed her Bachelor of Psychology at Hasanuddin University and her Master of Professional Psychology at Padjadjaran University. Her research interests include interpersonal relations, social and emotional competence, sexuality, behavior change interventions, and community development.

Athina Saraya is a lecturer, counsellor, and speaker with a strong background in psychology, specializing in lifespan development. Having graduated from the Psychology department at the University of Sunderland, United Kingdom, she passionately focuses on understanding parent-child relationships, children & adolescents development, and effective parenting techniques. Athina's research interest lies in delving deep into these areas, seeking to contribute valuable insights that promote well-being and foster harmonious connections within individuals and families.

Nur Fajar Alfitra is a passionate and accomplished lecturer at Psychology Universitas Hasanuddin. With a focus on Consumer Psychology, he delves into the fascinating world of decision-making processes and the factors that significantly influence economic and consumption activities. Having earned his Master's in Consumer Psychology with a business specialization from Bangor University, Nur Fajar brings a unique blend of academic expertise and real-world understanding to his research. His academic journey has equipped him with a profound comprehension of consumer behavior, enabling him to explore the intricacies of human choices in the marketplace.

S. Nurul Azizah is a Psychology student at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Hasanuddin, and is currently in her final year. She is interested in Clinical and Positive Psychology, especially character strengths and resilience.

Siow Wei Khuan is a first-year, semester two psychology student at Monash University, deeply intrigued by the complexities of the human mind. With a fervent desire to explore and contribute to the world of psychology, he is eager to learn and engage in the diverse aspects of this fascinating discipline. His passion for understanding the inner workings of the human psyche drives me to seek opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals and share knowledge to create a positive impact in the field of psychology.

Susi is a lecturer in the Psychology Program at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Hasanuddin, Makassar. She holds a Master's in Psychology from Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, focusing on Mind, Brain, and Performance. Her research interests revolve around developmental studies based on neurosciences and family dynamics.

Kening Zhang graduated from Monash University Malaysia with a Bachelor of Arts and Social Sciences in Psychology. His research interests include occupational and health psychology, mental health, and cultural psychology.
